The picture above has an arrow pointing to the little chipmonk I've enlarged below. It had some dirt in it's mouth, I'd guess it was digging out it's home.

With 10 different trails to choose from, you could be busy for quite a while. I walked 4 of the trails the time I was there. I think I was the only person on several of the trails! Pinery has the largest Oak Savannah in North America. They are busy cutting down the pine trees that were planted years ago to help restore it to it's former glory. Lots of great wild flowers!
